Document for the construction of a house for the entrepreneur Todor Balabanov. Балкани, 14, 2025, 264 – 269.

This text aims to introduce, for the first time, a document preserved in the “Document Collection” of the Regional History Museum – Sofia to the academic community. The document is

closely tied to the renowned merchant, entrepreneur, and public figure Todor Balabanov. According to available information, the document was discovered inside an old oil bottle during archaeological research at the site “Underpass near the Party House”, led by Magdalina Stancheva. It was found in June 1969 in front of the then “State Planning Committee” building (now the General Labor Inspectorate and Employment Agency), near the main entrance featuring the colonnade of the Council of Ministers. Additionally, a brief description of the architectural features of the Balabanov House is also presented
